These photos were taken on Christmas Day, 2000 of the transmitter site of WGN Radio.
WGN is a clear-channel station at 720 kHz on the AM dial. It is owned by Tribune Broadcasting, and has been on the air since 1923. Many legendary broadcasts have come from this station, including Amos 'n' Andy and Chicago Cubs Baseball.

The site is located in the suburbs of Chicago,
between Schaumburg and Elk Grove Village. As you head south on
Route 53 from the Northwest suburbs, you will notice two sets
of antennae to the west. The northernmost set is WGN's
transmitter site, and about a mile and a half south you will
find WBBM's transmitter.
As time goes on, I will try to add more photos of broadcasting sites around Chicago. Stay tuned!
